
These locks can be physical key locks or can be the word lock. Once a puzzle piece has been placed in the correct location it will lock into place.Įach different scene has two locks hidden in them.
Some of them will need to be rotated in order to fit in their spot while others do not. All of the pieces start out on the left hand side of the screen. Jigsaw Puzzle - In the jigsaw puzzles players must take all of the puzzle pieces and correctly place them on the image.In order to finish the puzzle all of the pieces must be correctly rotated. One an entire row or column is correctly rotated they will lock into place and become darker to let the player know they are complete. These pieces must be rotated in order to make the image on them match up. Rotating Puzzle - In the rotating puzzle there will be a grid of 5 x 5 hexagonal pieces.The goal of the puzzles are to light up every square. When a set of tiles is cleared the square below them is lit up in a different color. Players must try and swap 2 tiles (with them being adjacent either up, down, left, or right) and try to get 3 or more of the same image in a row. Match 3 - In the match 3 puzzle there are tiles in a grid with images on them.
Players are successful when finding every word in the list. Words can be horizontal, vertical, diagonal, backwards and forwards. Players must try and find a certain list of words in the grid and highlight them by clicking on the first letter and dragging across the word, ending with the last letter.
Word Search - Word search puzzles are a grid of different letters of the alphabet. The player is successful when the entire board is cleared. Two of the tiles can be selected at a time and if they are a match (either identical or similar depending on the stages instructions) and they are then cleared from the board. Memory - Players click on tiles that are all laid out face down. These puzzles will be repeated with small differences to them as well as an increase in difficulty. There are a total of five different puzzle types that are given. The scenes in the game are: The attic sceneĪt the end of each stage in Escape Rosecliff Island there will be a different type of puzzle to solve. Some items that must be found will also be spelled out rather than a physical item. The first time a scene is played the player will be required to find an item that must be combined with another item using a clue. In total there are 25 different scenes in the game, however different items will be required for the player to find each time the scene is played. If a scene is completed without the use of hints a bonus of 25,000 points will be given. Once a hint is used in regular play the player must wait for the hints to re-charge, however if playing with unlimited hints there is no time restriction. When starting the game players can choose to have unlimited hints which will allow the use of as many hints as desired.Įach hint will deduct 7,500 points from the players total. Hints can be used during a hidden object scene to get help finding one of the remaining items. When starting the game the player has the choice to play the game in relaxed mode which will strip out the timer letting players take as long as needed to finish each scene and puzzle. Once each scene in a stage has been completed there will be a puzzle to complete in order to find a boat part. Each stage is made up of differing amounts of the various scenes in the game. There are 25 total scenes in the game and 25 stages. GameplayĮscape Rosecliff Island is made up mainly of hidden object scenes with other puzzle types given at the end of each stage. The player must then search scenes and solve puzzles to find all of the items required to repair the boat and escape the island. The player has crashed landed on Rosecliff Island.
